Hi Readers…
A little bit about me (aka “Paperback Priestess”, aka Bree Bailey):
I’m 27, I love animals (so much so that I have my bachelors degree in Biology and I worked at an animal sanctuary all through college), I love to travel any chance I get, I really want to start a garden but every plant I own dies within a few weeks in my care, and I have a patch of grey hairs on the top of my head that I pluck any chance I get.
As for my qualifications as a book blogger, I don’t really have any. I don’t have a degree in literature (as much as I wish I did) or any published work, I simply love reading and writing. I have a normal job during the day but by night you can find me reading, reading, and reading. Just think of me as the batman of books.
Here’s a list of just a few things I love about books:
I love the smell of a well used paperback, I love the “Crack” that comes with opening a new hardback for the first time, I love opening a book at night only to have realized I’ve finished it come morning, I love losing myself to new worlds and unimaginable creatures, I love having my heart broken by characters that may not be real… but they’re real to me, I love that I’ll never be satisfied by any number of books (I’ll always need more), I even love the tragic heartbreak that comes with finishing a really good book and knowing I’ll never be able to read it for the first time again…
So like I said before, I love books. Period. Exclamation mark!
I’m also a firm believer that if you don’t like reading, you just haven’t found the right book yet. I hope that my website can point you in the right direction.
